Terms of Service

These terms govern access to Lex Engine’s website, APIs, dashboards, alerts, and data products.

Service and eligibility

You must be legally able to enter a contract and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for API keys, users, and activity under your account.

Informational service

Lex Engine structures public legal and regulatory information. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal, investment, compliance, or other professional advice. Automated classification, entity resolution, summaries, and risk-prioritization scores may contain errors. Verify consequential decisions against official sources and qualified professionals.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

Plan features and limits appear at checkout. Stripe processes payments. Subscriptions renew for the selected interval until cancelled. You may cancel through Stripe’s customer portal; access continues through the paid period unless law requires otherwise. The Refund Policy applies.

Data and licenses

You retain rights to content you lawfully submit. Lex Engine grants a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan. Bulk redistribution, resale, model training, or competing database creation requires an enterprise license unless expressly documented otherwise.

Availability and changes

Public-source availability can change without notice. Lex Engine may modify features to maintain security, legality, source compliance, or reliability. API changes follow the API Lifecycle Policy where practical.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Lex Engine does not warrant completeness, accuracy, uninterrupted access, or fitness for a particular legal outcome. Liability limitations cannot exclude rights that applicable law does not permit excluding.

Suspension and termination

Access may be limited for abuse, nonpayment, security threats, unlawful use, or material violation of these terms. You may stop using the service and request account deletion after resolving active paid subscriptions.
