SOURCE GOVERNANCE

Legal Data and Source Policy

Acquisition

Active ingestion is limited to freely accessible official public sources and other sources Lex Engine is authorized to use. The platform does not claim ownership of government-authored source records.

Transformation

Lex Engine adds schemas, provenance hashes, normalized entities, timelines, classifications, summaries, monitoring signals, and API delivery. Automated enrichment remains distinguishable from source evidence.

Verification

Every consequential record should retain an official-source link and provenance. Missing data is left missing rather than fabricated. Confidence and review status describe processing state, not legal truth.

Coverage

The coverage matrix reports indexed records by source and year. Counts do not imply complete coverage of a jurisdiction.

Corrections

Source-supported corrections are accepted through the correction workflow. Lex Engine may preserve audit history even when a public presentation changes.

Licensing

Source documents and Lex Engine’s value-added datasets may carry different rights. Bulk exports, redistribution, and AI-training uses require rights defined by the applicable plan or enterprise agreement.
